GoldBod Jewellery Limited has clarified its participation in the Women of Valour London edition, saying it did not financially sponsor the event but offered promotional discounts to attendees.
The event, organised by media personality Nana Aba Anamoah, drew criticism from some supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who questioned GOLDBOD’s association with Anamoah due to her past critical commentary on former President John Mahama when the party was in opposition.
In a statement posted on social media platform X on Sunday, GoldBod said its involvement was limited to offering discounts on jewellery as part of its ongoing Ghana Heritage Month promotions, similar to seasonal promotions such as Valentine’s Month discounts.
The company emphasised that it had not contributed funds to organise the event and remains focused on manufacturing and retailing authentic Ghanaian gold jewellery for both local and international markets.
“GoldBod Jewellery – Pure, Precious, Proudly Ghanaian,” the statement concluded, reaffirming the company’s commitment to promoting made-in-Ghana products.
