Popular Ghanaian actor Mikki Osei Berko, widely known as Master Richard or Dada Boat, has been enstooled as a chief in Adamorobe in the Akuapem South Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The enstoolment ceremony took place on Friday, April 24, 2026, where the celebrated film star was installed by traditional authorities and given the stool name Nana Osei Boakye Yiadom II, serving in the capacity of an acting chief.
Traditional rites observed
A viral video circulating on social media showed the actor participating in customary rites, dressed in a fugu paired with shorts, drawing attention and mixed reactions online.
The ceremony marks a significant transition for the actor, who has long been a familiar face in Ghana’s film and television industry.
The development has sparked widespread reactions across social media platforms, with many users congratulating him on his new role and celebrating his elevation from entertainment into traditional leadership.
Observers say the move highlights the continuing intersection between Ghana’s creative arts industry and traditional institutions, where public figures are sometimes called upon to serve in community leadership roles.
