President John Dramani Mahama began a two-day tour of the Northern Region on Saturday as part of his government’s “Resetting Ghana” agenda, aimed at engaging citizens and assessing development projects.
The visit follows an earlier regional tour and is expected to provide a platform for residents, through traditional leaders, to present concerns and feedback on government policies and their impact on livelihoods.
During the trip, Mahama is scheduled to cut the sod for the construction of 24-hour markets and inspect ongoing infrastructure projects across the region.
A town hall meeting is also planned at the University for Development Studies on Sunday, where government officials will outline key interventions implemented over the past year.
The tour comes as the administration seeks to consolidate support and demonstrate progress on campaign commitments, while addressing local development needs through direct engagement with communities.
