Kurt Okraku highlighted the growth of women’s football in Ghana, citing investments in infrastructure, talent development, and league visibility.
Okraku said the FA has invested US$742,000 in a FIFA-standard pitch in the Upper East Region, established academies at Prempeh College and Achimota School, and ensured that Women’s Premier League matches are televised.
He emphasised comprehensive support for female players, including quality kits, equipment, travel, and match expenses, as well as pathways to professional opportunities abroad.
Speaking on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Tuesday (17 February) he said, Kurt Okraku highlighted the growth of women’s football in Ghana during the interview, citing investments in infrastructure, talent development, and league visibility.“Today, 90% of the Black Wings players play abroad, and that is a testament to the investment we’ve made in women’s football,” Okraku said.
He described these efforts as part of a broader vision to develop football at district, regional, and national levels, giving young female players opportunities to achieve their dreams.
