The National Identification Authority (NIA) has officially notified the general public of an upward adjustment in the fees charged for several of its core services.
According to a formal “Notice of Price Increment” issued by the authority, the new pricing structure will affect both initial registrations and subsequent data management services. The specific services listed for price adjustments include:
-
First-time Registration
-
Personal Information Update
-
Replacement Service
-
Nationality Update
-
Non-Citizen Card Registration
In the statement, the NIA justified the fee increases by explaining that the adjustment is essential to enable the authority to “maintain and improve the quality of services” currently provided to the public.
While the notice confirmed which categories are seeing price hikes, it did not list the specific new amounts for each service. The authority expressed its appreciation to the public for their “understanding and continued support” as these changes take effect.
Citizens seeking further clarification or specific pricing details are encouraged to contact the NIA through their official channels, including their website at www.nia.gov.gh or their information desk at info@nia.gov.gh.
