Women’s leadership and entrepreneurship will take centre stage at the Africa Prosperity Dialogues (APD) with the launch of the Women Prosperity Dialogue, set for Wednesday, 4 February 2026, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
The session, part of APD’s opening day, will showcase the pivotal role of women in driving Africa’s economic integration under the theme “Empowering SMEs, Women & Youth in Africa’s Single Market: Innovate. Collaborate. Trade.”
The dialogue will feature a fireside conversation with leading African women, highlighting strategies for women in power, visionary leadership, and policy influence. Discussions will also focus on practical steps for women-led businesses to expand across Africa, exploring ways to access capital, scale operations, meet continental trade standards, and tap into the 1.5-billion-person AfCFTA market.
In a special segment, African Icon: Celebrating Her Story, the dialogue will honour women whose courage, vision, and leadership have shaped Africa’s development landscape, inspiring a new generation of female entrepreneurs and policymakers.
The event will provide a platform for participants to influence policies, forge partnerships, and connect with investors and decision-makers to accelerate women’s economic empowerment across the continent.
Registration for the Women Prosperity Dialogue is now open at the APD 2026 portal. Tickets for the Africa Prosperity Champions Awards (APCA) and Presidential Gala Dinner 2026 are also still available.
