Ghana international Felix Afena-Gyan has been the victim of a robbery after his residence in Italy was broken into while he was away on national team duty, local reports said.
The forward was with Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, for an international friendly against Mexico over the weekend.
Afena-Gyan featured in the match, playing 67 minutes as Ghana suffered a 2-0 defeat to the 2026 FIFA World Cup co-hosts.
However, upon returning to Italy, the Turkey-based attacker discovered that his home had been burgled, with personal belongings stolen during his absence.
Details of the items taken and the circumstances surrounding the break-in were not immediately clear.
The incident comes as players continue to balance club and international commitments, often leaving their residences unattended for extended periods.
There has been no official statement yet from the player or his representatives regarding the robbery.
