Four people have died in a tragic road accident at Anyinasin Junction on Wednesday, 6 May 2026, following a head-on collision between a Hyundai Mighty truck with registration number GE 1913-16 and a Man Diesel trailer with registration number GS 236-12.
According to reports, the Hyundai truck was travelling from Asamankese to Bunso, while the trailer was en route from Kumasi to Accra.
Eyewitnesses alleged that the trailer veered into the opposite lane, crashing head-on into the truck.
The impact reportedly forced the truck into a nearby bush before both vehicles caught fire.
The blaze left four occupants of the Hyundai truck burnt beyond recognition.
A female survivor who was rescued from the scene is currently receiving treatment at the Akim Asafo Health Centre.
Meanwhile, the three occupants aboard the trailer escaped unhurt.
