The Ghana Police Service has arrested two individuals in connection with the disappearance of a couple in Accra, Dr Jesse Amuah and Elizabeth Esi Amuah.
According to a police statement, the case was reported to the Missing Persons Unit on 22 April 2026, after the couple had not been seen or heard from since 23 March 2026.
The complainant indicated that the couple’s residence was locked when visited, while their vehicle, a Nissan Sunny with registration number GX 159-X, was also not found at the premises. Efforts to reach them through other means proved unsuccessful.
Following the report, a joint team made up of officers from the Missing Persons Unit, the Anti-Armed Robbery Unit, and the Crime Scene Management Team commenced investigations into the matter.
Police say the team visited the couple’s residence and pursued several leads, leading to the arrest of two suspects. The identities of the suspects have been withheld to support ongoing investigations.
The suspects are currently assisting police with enquiries as efforts continue to establish the whereabouts of the missing couple.
The police service has appealed to the public to provide any credible information that could aid the investigation.
“Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Dr Jesse Amuah and Mrs Elizabeth Esi Amuah should report to the nearest police station for immediate action,” the statement said.
Investigations are ongoing.
