MTN Ghana Donates food, cash to Tamale Central Mosque for Eid-ul-Fitr celebration

MTN Ghana has donated assorted food items and cash to the Tamale Central Mosque to support Muslims in the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The donation, which forms part of the company’s annual Ramadan outreach initiative, is aimed at helping Muslim families observe the festive period in a meaningful and fulfilling way.

The items presented included a ram, several bags of rice, cartons of vegetable oil, as well as a cash amount of GHC 10,000.

The gesture underscores MTN Ghana’s continued commitment to supporting communities and sharing in the joy of its customers during significant religious celebrations.

Speaking during the presentation, Acting Regional Manager of MTN, Mohammed Shayawu, noted that the initiative reflects the company’s appreciation for the loyalty and support of the Muslim community.

He stated that it is both timely and appropriate for MTN to identify with Muslims during such an important occasion, adding that the donation further strengthens the longstanding relationship between the company and the community. He also cautioned MTN subscribers to be vigilant against fraudsters, stressing that MTN does not make calls requesting financial transactions.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Northern Regional Chief Imam, Alhaji Mohamed Habib Adam expressed heartfelt gratitude to MTN Ghana for its consistent support over the years.

He offered prayers for the continued growth and success of the company and noted that the donation would go a long way in bringing relief and joy to many families as they mark the Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.
