Media personality Nana Aba Anamoah has commended the government for what she describes as improvements in economic stability since it assumed office about a year ago.
Speaking in an interview on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, she said the administration appears to be performing better than its predecessor during the latter years of its tenure.
“I will give them 75% to 80% because I think that His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has stabilised the economy. And I think his finance minister is doing an excellent job. I think the economy is doing very well now compared to the last three or four years,” she stated.
Anamoah also reflected on governance and public discourse, noting that some officials in the previous administration exhibited arrogance in their interactions with the media and the public.
“There was too much arrogance. You could hear it in their utterances on the radio and the way they were dismissive of journalists. Their commentary was just arrogant,” she observed.
She added that although similar concerns were raised about Mahama’s first term in office, the current administration appears to have learned lessons from the past.
“It’s just a year. Maybe it’s too early to judge, but the trajectory looks positive, and I am happy with the work they are doing so far,” she said.
The broadcaster also praised members of the current cabinet for their responsiveness, highlighting Gender Minister Agnes Naa Momo Lartey for engaging with issues and Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa for accessibility.
Meanwhile, Anamoah is preparing to host the fourth edition of her Women of Valour event in London on 6 March 2026, an initiative aimed at celebrating women’s achievements and contributions to society.
