LR Global Media Group calls on West African mothers to join Influential Mamas initiative

LR Global Media Group has called on mothers across West Africa to participate in its latest initiative, Influential Mamas, aimed at strengthening connections between women in the region and those in the diaspora through the sharing of experiences and cultural traditions.

The media agency says it is leveraging the cultural significance of Black History Month to reposition Influential Mamas as a platform designed to unite mothers across West Africa and the diaspora by amplifying stories of motherhood, wisdom, and lived experiences.

According to the organisation, the initiative seeks to create a living archive of motherhood narratives to foster exchanges between mothers in West Africa and their counterparts abroad.

Founder of LR Global Media Group, Tera Carissa Hodges, said Black History Month provides an opportunity to promote togetherness and continuity among Black mothers globally.

“Black History Month presented us with the perfect opportunity to establish a sense of kinship and continuity between Black mothers in the US and those in West Africa, their ancestral home,” Hodges said.

Hodges, a certified life coach, speaker, and new mother, said the conversations are intended to strengthen communities and encourage mutual support among women.

“No matter where we find ourselves, every mother desires the same thing: the best for their children. Whether you’re in Accra or Lagos, your experiences matter and carry insights that will be beneficial to your fellow sisters in New York, Los Angeles, and more,” she said.

She urged West African mothers to submit testimonies, parenting tips, and traditions that could inspire and reinforce cross-cultural bonds.

LR (Life, Lifestyle, and Labels Redefined) Global Media Group was founded by Hodges in 2016 and describes itself as a media agency focused on producing uplifting media content. Since its establishment, it has created platforms, including This Is My Testimony, which encourages individuals not to be defined by their past, and Success Bullying, which seeks to empower career women.

The organisation says Influential Mamas continues its faith-based mission under the theme “Mamas positively influencing other mamas to positively impact the next generation.”
