Family seeks action over misleading “will” linked to Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings

The family of Ghana’s late former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, has rejected claims circulating on social media suggesting the existence of a will attributed to her, describing the document as false and misleading.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Agyeman-Rawlings family said the publication was a “concocted fabrication” and did not originate from any authorised source linked to the family or the former first lady.

The family said steps were being taken to address the circulation of the document, which they said misrepresented the truth.

They also appealed to the public to respect the dignity and reputation of Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, noting that the family was still mourning her death and required privacy during the period of bereavement.

The statement was signed by Kobina Andoh Amoakwa on behalf of the family.

Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings was a prominent political figure and former first lady during the tenure of former president Jerry John Rawlings.
