Award-winning broadcast journalist and lawyer Serwaa Amihere has been announced as the Master of Ceremony for the Youth Prosperity Dialogue at the Africa Prosperity Dialogues (APD) 2026.
The Youth Prosperity Dialogue forms part of the flagship APD 2026 programme, which is expected to convene policymakers, business leaders, development partners and young innovators from across the continent to shape Africa’s economic future.
Serwaa Amihere, who works with GhOne TV, is widely recognised for her professionalism and influence in Ghana’s media landscape. She is the first Ghanaian to win both the Radio and Television Personality Awards and the Best Newscaster of the Year Awards for three consecutive years.
Beyond broadcasting, she is known for her strong advocacy for youth empowerment, women’s leadership and social responsibility, using her platform to encourage informed civic engagement and progressive change across Africa.
Her appointment reflects her reputation for poise, credibility and effective audience engagement, qualities they believe will help deepen the quality of discussions at the forum.
At APD 2026, Serwaa Amihere is expected to play a central role in guiding conversations under the theme: “Empowering SMEs, Women and Youth in Africa’s Single Market: Innovate. Collaborate. Trade.” The dialogue will focus on practical strategies to drive economic growth and accelerate Africa’s integration, particularly within the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Registration for APD 2026 is currently open, with tickets also available for the Africa Prosperity Champions Awards (APCA) and the Presidential Gala Dinner 2026, which form part of the broader programme of events.
