Estel Chemist Limited has won the Excellence in Customer Service award in the pharmacy category at the 2025 CENBA Africa Business Excellence Awards, organisers said citing the company’s customer-focused approach and professional standards.
The award was presented at the seventh edition of the ceremony held in Kumasi, which brought together business leaders and industry stakeholders from across Ghana.
CENBA organisers said Estel Chemist was selected after an assessment of its customer engagement practices, accessibility of pharmaceutical services and adherence to ethical and professional standards.
The awards recognise companies that demonstrate impact beyond profit, with emphasis on service delivery and community relevance.
Speaking after receiving the award, Estel Chemist Chief Executive Dr Eric Ofori Mensah said the recognition reflected sustained investment in staff development, systems and service culture.
“This award reinforces our belief that excellence is built daily through how customers are treated and how services are delivered with integrity,” the company said in a statement.
Industry analysts say Estel Chemist’s expansion across Ghana has stood out for maintaining service quality, particularly in emerging urban and peri-urban areas, at a time when access to professional pharmaceutical care remains uneven.
Estel Chemist operates multiple branches nationwide and employs trained pharmacy professionals, according to the company.
The CENBA Africa Business Excellence Awards are part of a continental initiative aimed at promoting innovation, ethical leadership and responsible business practices across Africa.
Estel Chemist said it would continue to focus on patient-centred care while expanding its operations to support Ghana’s healthcare system.
